RaceOwl accesses, collects, and uses your device's location data to enable core tracking and safety features across our mobile applications. Because we provide dedicated applications for different participants, our location data usage is tailored to the specific app and user role:

• RaceOwlRacer App: Location data is accessed and collected to track your live progress while you are actively on the race course. This allows event organizers, support crews, and spectators to follow your race in real-time.
• RaceOwl App: Location data is accessed and collected so race volunteers and administrators can monitor the event, coordinate logistics, and effectively execute safety dispatches to assist racers in need.

Background Location: To ensure continuous and accurate operations during a race event, our applications require the collection of location data in the background, even when the app is closed or not in active use, under the following specific conditions:

• For Racers (RaceOwlRacer App): Background collection guarantees your progress is recorded without interruption while your phone is safely stowed during the race.
• For Race Administration (RaceOwl App): Background collection is strictly limited to authenticated race staff and volunteers involved in race administration. This ensures dispatchers always have your current position when coordinating an emergency response. Background location is not collected for users utilizing the app as spectators or race crew.

Use of Your Personal Information

RaceOwl collects and uses your personal information to operate its website and deliver the services you have requested. We may also use your personally identifiable information to provide technical support or to inform you of other products or services available from RaceOwl and its affiliates.
